Brand guidelines
A table, a header row and one selected column. Together they make a T. That’s the whole idea: structure first, then the one thing you’re looking at.
The mark
The header row and the selected column form the T of Tabulay. The mark comes from the app icon, which shows a sheet with one highlighted column. Use the mark alone where the name is already present, and the lockup everywhere else.
- Keep clear space around the logo equal to the height of the mark’s header row, on every side.
- Minimum size: 16 px for the mark, 80 px wide for the lockup.
- Use the light version on light backgrounds, the dark version on dark ones, and the one-color version where color isn’t available.
Don’t
Stretch, rotate, outline or add effects to the logo. Recolor the mark outside the palette below. Place it on busy photographs.
Don’t
Rebuild the wordmark in another font, or change its letter spacing. Use the SVG files.
Don’t
Combine the logo with Apple’s logo or badges, or imply that Apple endorses Tabulay.

Sage is used sparingly: one selected column, one button, one highlight per view. Red (#B0413E) and amber (#9A6B00) only ever mean a problem or a warning.
Type
Tabulay uses the Mac’s own fonts, like the app: SF Pro for words, SF Mono for data. Everywhere else, Inter and JetBrains Mono stand in. Real values (row counts, file names, timings) are always set in mono, the way the app shows them.
Voice
Plain, precise and calm. Numbers over adjectives. We show the value rather than describe it, and we never name other products to score a point.
- Say “Indexes a 1.3-million-row file in 0.35 s,” with its footnote. Not “Blazing fast.”
- Say “The app has no network access.” Not “Military-grade privacy.”
- Say “Tabulay Pro.” Not “Premium” or “the paid version.”
The name
Tabulay, one word, capital T, pronounced TAB-yoo-lay. From the Latin tabula, a writing tablet. Signature: Millions of rows. Zero surprises. Descriptor: The CSV workbench for Mac.
